The TWG will hold its 12th virtual meeting on Wednesday, 29 September 2021, at 14:00 – 16:00 hours, Bangkok time. It will be a workshop on catalyzing the policy impetus for disaster-related statistics.
Objectives:
Main objective of the workshop: TWG members will be able to relate the need for policy impetus towards DRSF to the policy environment in their respective contexts and to envision the steps needed to catalyze such an impetus in their own countries.
More specifically, the workshop aims:
- to review the configuration of the policies relevant to DRSF
- to determine the policy priorities related to the demand of DRSF
- to identify the structure and mechanisms of producers and users of information
- to develop policy impetus, based on policy gap analysis, to catalyze the DRSF

Participants will be assigned to three break out rooms by random using MS Teams. The participants will provide inputs to the policy topic questions assigned to the group. After the discussion, the participants will automatically be transferred back to the main room.
