The Asian Development Bank (ADB) in partnership with the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD), Statistical Institute for Asia and the Pacific (SIAP), and Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) is pleased to launch an online training course on Statistical Data and Metadata eXchange (SDMX) Foundation will start on 28 March 2022.

Prior to formulating and drafting the online training course for SDMX Foundation, ADB, UNSD, SIAP, and ESCAP conducted a survey to collect information from National Statistics Offices (NSOs) on the knowledge and implementation of SDMX in the national statistical systems. One of the main concerns of the NSOs was the lack of training on SDMX. In this regard, the SDMX Foundation course is to target NSOs staff and other organizations involved in statistical data and metadata production who have little or no knowledge of SDMX. The course will also assist top and middle managers to strengthen their knowledge on SDMX and to decide on how SDMX will fit into and improve statistical business processes. Further, there will be an advanced SDMX course which will feature SDMX Information Model, SDMX Content-Oriented Guidelines, and SDMX infrastructure and IT tools.
The course will be available in ADB eLearn Moodle Platform (https://elearn.adb.org/). If you have any questions, email us at sdmx@adb.org. You may also register at https://ncv.microsoft.com/ICp4ZkfQLG or scan the QR code below until 25 March 2022.
