In terms of answering the need e.g. for lack of coordination and cooperation between stakeholders results in data fragmentation, inconsistencies, and incomparability. I think country should established a coordinative mechanism e.g. establishing a technical working group on disaster statistics  that will serve as a venue for discussion and resolutions of issues, to review current techniques/methodologies, and to recommend policies and workable schemes towards the improvement of environment and natural resources and other related statistics. This group will consist of several agencies related to disaster in establishing its membership. Also, it is important that the working group will have its own functions as well as some guidelines as to what is the role of official statistics in the country particularly disaster stats and a secretariat to handle this.

Governance factors related to disaster statistics are identified and assessed based on existing frameworks, e.g. that of UNEC and DRSF, I think we really need to add key priority areas in governance as to what extent the DRSF in terms of policy formulation and policy implementations will be used and providing examples through experiences of pilot countries and so that countries could start from that. To identify what are these governance factors stated in the 5-year plan and importantly diagnostic tool to assess this.
